Holiday Lighting That Feels Like Brooklyn
Downtown Brooklyn has a ten-year tradition of artistic lighting for the holidays. For its latest season, the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership wanted something festive and optimistic that would bring fresh energy to Fulton Street and the neighbourhood’s major corridors.
Limbic Media answered with a series of Starbursts powered by our Aurora platform. Rather than dropping in an off-the-shelf display, we took Aurora’s lively, programmable lighting and adapted it to Downtown Brooklyn, making full use of the technology to highlight the character of the neighbourhood. Installation was coordinated closely with local partners and went in seamlessly.
The response from residents, neighbours and local stakeholders has been fantastic. This installation is the first phase of a two-phase project, with the partnership continuing into a second year to complete the full vision.
